TROUBLE IN PARADISE

It hasn't been one hour since the Lakers dropped their second consecutive game, and while lurking the net I can't help but laugh at the panic that has set in. "Play Sun Yue" "Does Andrew know what a rebound is" "Fisher sucks" "Lamar can't shoot free throws."
I'm sure all have their validity... However, the blame and the problems start at the top.
For instance, it has now been a dozen or so games since the Lakers knew Jordan Farmar would miss significant time, and NO effort has been made to find a small, quick PG. (I wonder if that would've helped against Jameer tonight??) Sasha has been playing the backup minutes at the point... Sasha is a shooting guard who should play at the end of quarters, halves and when teams play zone. When a player such as D Fish gets fatigued, the one thing that happens is they start reaching (HELLO Roger Mason !) and getting schooled (HELLO again Jameer)
The other problem is the evil son-in-law to be, Mr Phillip Jackson. My god, Phil did the finals last year teach you nothing?? We all see your team can score. They are crazily athletic. But do you at any time teach defense?? Just curious. Because so far, Detroit, Indiana, Miami, and Orlando have punked your ass again in '09. Eastern squads, Phillip. You get past the west again, and look out there will be one of either Boston, Cleveland or Orlando licking their chops to whack you again.
Alot of people punked Kobe for passing to Ariza the other night. Well, if Mr Jackson had called timeout, maybe Vlad would've been standing there. You know Phil, a 3 point threat.
Rotations are another issue I have with Phillip. It's completely okay to bench the young 7 footer averaging 4 boards the last 5 games. Lamar brings alot to the table, and noticeably plays better alongside Gasol. Problem with Drew is he got a big contract and that made him believe he needed to score more. Actually, Drew we need you to score LESS. Eight points, ten boards and two blocks would be great. Go rent a DVD of Ben Wallace circa '01-'06. You're our eraser Drew, our difference maker. So far, all you've been is a minute-stealer from Lamar.
Lastly, think about the Laker's top 8 players and what their strength is. I bet you come up with alot that worry too much about offense and not enough about D. And that ultimately will be this teams downfall in the finals once again.. And if that happens, the Phil Jackson experiment part II needs to end...
"Hello, Byron? It's Mitch...."
