The Lakers 2010-2011 Schedule

The schedule for the upcoming season is finally out! Let's look at a few key games for the 2010 C H A M P I O N S.... L.A. LAKERS!

Oct: 26 vs Houston - First game of the year which is also known as RING NIGHT! The Lakers get their rings, another banner is raised at Staples and the crowd is in a celebratory mood. As for the game, it means nothing as far as I'm concerned.

Side Note: SRT, Mattie B, Gussy G and I will also be @ESPN Zone early watching the BOS/MIA game. This is tough but we may have to root FOR BOS to beat Miami just because. This doesn't make us BOS fans...it's more like us being Miami haters. Come on down and join us.

November: 8 away games 7 home games. Good balance here as the Lakers need some early road experience unlike last season. The toughest games I see are in Portland and in Chicago.

December: There's only 1 game that matters in December and that is on Christmas Day. This is the day the newly formed Miami Heat will take on the world champs. This is a game that everybody looks forward to a month in advance but never lives up to the hype. In my opinion, the Lakers have never played their best on Christmas Day but who knows..maybe they'll dig deep and reward their fans with a W.

January: There looks to be a lot of home games in January and probably the biggest games include OKC and BOS. As we all remember, OKC took the Lakers to 6 games in the opening round last year. This team will continue to improve under the leadership of Durant and Westbrook. Boston of course has kept their "BIG 3" and added Shaq to shore up the paint. This game will be close however the Lakers will win this one.

February: The Lakers have a 6 game roadie before heading in for the All Star Break. This is a time where road teams must come together and trust each other rather than rely on fans to pump them up. The trip includes a trip to BOS, NY, ORL, and CHA. Unfortunately for the Lakers they are back to backs (BOS, NY and ORL, CHA.)

March: A tough 4 game trip (SAS, ATL, MIA, and DAL) is on the schedule. Being that the games are spread out, I see the Lakers going 3-1. The 8 home games this month is where the Lakers can really separate themselves in the West.

April: 4 home games and 3 road games. Road games against Utah, GSW, POR and SAC...4-0. E A S Y.

Prediction: 65-17. 2nd best record in the NBA.
