Follow up to Bracketology Pt 2

I know b was going to post 5 reasons why the Lakers will win and 5 reasons they won't... ill jump the gun and take a gander at the 5 reasons they WILL NOT win an NBA Title

1) Sasha - new contract...cant play D, averaging less than 4 pts so far in the playoffs
on an awesome 24.6% shooting... he's a 3 point specialist by the way
shooting an amazing 30% from downtown

2) D Fish - Wow did father time catch up to him or what.. shooting a miserable 29%
against houston while averaging 5 pts and 1.2 asst.. good numbers for a
PG. There's a correlation between him coming into the game, blown
layups, and the PA guy saying.. AARON BROOKS... AAAAAAAAAAAAARON BROOKS.

3) Lamar - In LA we have Manny being Manny.. and Lamar being Lamar..makes 15 mil a
year which is good for 7 and 7 almost every night. Good value.. does
pretty well against Landry and Scola who made a combined 6 mil this year.

4) PJ - Lakers down by 20.. PJ yawning.. Hamblin wondering if he's changed his
depends before tip... Sometimes you should call a timeout to stop a run.
There's a guy in SA that does.. and he's not a bad coach. Also.. timed
substitutions.. if that's all you're capable of, why not let Clemens call
the shots. Arrogance only gets you so far.

5) Bynum - modern day T Knight.. checking into the game AAAAAAAAAndrewy Byyynum...
(5 sec later) Foul on #17 A Bynum.. 9th personal.

6) Bonus Reason - Gasol is a bitch

Bynum Injury Update

Thanks to Lakers Foo for breaking the news first. So now with Bynum out, what can we expect to happen here? All in all for the short term, it's looking fairly decent. Even with Bynum I'm not sure too many of us expected the Lakers to walk into Boston and Cleveland and take care of business.. so let's say they take this roadie 4-2.. From what some Dr's have been saying, this injury could be more of a 6-8 week ordeal rather than an 8-12 week debauchery. So we're looking at a potential 5 - 7 weeks after the Lakers lose to Cleveland.

Many people say the Lakers have basically the same team as last year with the added bonus of Ariza.. I disagree.. With Bynum down it would be really nice to have Turiaf around. Last I checked he averages 18 min a game and is in the top 5 in blocked shots.. that says a lot. Josh powell has a good work ethic and rebounds better than any other Laker on the court, but defensively he doesn't have the court presence of a Turiaf.

Ariza is a big help and that is a weapon the Lakers didn't have last year down the stretch.. but that's what led to their demise.. defense of the #3 position, and lack of interior toughness. As long as Ariza is healthy, the Lakers have 1 of these problems taken care of.. But now we have to rely on Powell, Mbenga and C Mihm to pick up the slack.. it's going to be tough..
